Service Technician (285lw) - Mechanical / Electrical - London & South East - £35k + uncapped Overtime (£45-£50k+)

Our client will offer training opportunities for candidates that demonstrate a keenness & aptitude to learn (could suit Service Leavers with a mechanical and/or electrical background), with a current SC level clearance being the ideal.

Our client has over 30 years’ experience specialising in entrance control solutions to the UK Security Industry & now Internationally. They supply and install a wide range of quality and innovative products that help ensure premises are safe and secure. From anti-tailgating products such as security portals and turnstiles to their sensor-based systems.

They have developed their core product groups, delivering quality security systems to high demanding sectors. These sectors include critical national infrastructure such as airports, data centres and central government along with corporate clients and leisure. They have established a nationwide presence in installing and maintaining projects throughout the UK & now Internationally.

Location wise, this role will primarily cover London & Greater (North) London, (M25 borders, can be as far up as Stevenage, Hemel, Reading, Slough)

Main Purpose:
Based in the Service Operations Department, reporting to the Head of Service Delivery, to provide the business and its customers with technical support for the products supplied and installed by the following.
•Response times are adhered to the best of your ability, consulting with the Service Schedulers before any changes are made to the engineer’s schedules.
•Reported faults are accurately diagnosed and remedied as efficiently as practicable with minimal disruption to the Customer.
•High standards of workmanship are attained to ensure quality repairs are conducted to ensure product reliability.
•Always maintain a professional and positive attitude to all Customers.
•Conduct PMV visits thoroughly, ensuring all required aspects are completed.
•Responsible for managing all spare parts, carried on the van or specifically for Customers, ensuring stock levels are maintained and recorded accurately.
•Complete all required documentation in relation to the task in a timely manner.
•Adhere to Health and Safety requirements
•Being flexible with working hours, as out of hours attendance including weekends may be required from time to time.
•Working efficiently, with overnight stays where travel is prohibitive, in consultation with your line manager.

Responsibilities of Job:
•To be responsible for identifying/testing and return of faulty parts.
•To oversee and report on van stock levels ensuring that all stock used is booked out on Worksheets / stock sheets.
•Accurate and complete timesheets are submitted in accordance with deadlines.
•Be responsible for the good care of company property, including vehicles, tools & equipment, IT equipment.
•Ensure you keep up to date with tech info and updates provided by the Technical Support Dept
